MenuOn November, 15, 2022, Pastor Jeff Nickel, Holy Cross President Doug Hartley and other members of Holy Cross Church presented “Miss Penny” a check for $6,414.85. Ms.Penny runs Plates of Love Ministry out of the Cold Spring Community Foundation that feeds homeless and low income families on the east side of Buffalo. The location is at the State Tabernacle Church of God in Christ, 234 Glenwood Ave., Buffalo.
This check was the proceeds of the Oktoberfest that we held on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Clarence Town Park. Ms. Penny was overjoyed at receiving the check and the first thing she intends to purchase is a meat slicer for their ministry.
