We Believe:
There is only one, true God — the Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit — coequal and coeternal.
God has given us His eternal, unchanging Word — the 66 books of Holy Scripture; all of our beliefs and teachings must come from Scripture alone.
As sinful human beings, a person can only be saved and go to heaven by believing in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, not by any human efforts or good works.
God has graciously given His Church the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion, through which He bestows the forgiveness of sins earned by Christ’s suffering and death on the cross.
God’s will for believing Christians is to walk obediently in His Word and live a life of good works for His glory and the benefit of other people.
Our Commission from Christ is to proclaim repentance and the forgiveness of sins in His name that all people might believe in Jesus and receive eternal life.
The name “Lutheran” refers to our appreciation for and commitment to the Good News of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone that was reclaimed by Martin Luther during the period of church renewal known as the Reformation (16th century).
