June Letter(s) from Pastor Randy

Family and Friends of Holy Cross,

It is time to celebrate our 2015 graduates at Holy Cross. God has gifted Holy Cross with many dear youth, and it’s always a joy to watch their God-given gifts and talents grow among us (even though we feel dated as we see them grow).

Tom DiCostanzo graduates from Clarence. This fall he will attend Alabama Crimson Tide. His studies include a Business Major and a Sports Management Minor.

Katie Marzano graduates from Clarence. Katie will attend Nazareth College and major in Early Childhood Education.

Cassie Stefanik graduates from Clarence. Cassie is enrolled at Niagara University.

PJ Donnelly graduates from Clarence. PJ will study Business and Finance at Niagara University.

Zach Randall graduates from Clarence. Zach will attend St. John Fisher with an emphasis in Criminology.

Kevin Zachau graduates from Canisius High School. Kevin will play Division III lacrosse for the Yellow Jackets; his major is currently undecided.

Congratulations, all of you! As you continue to develop your God-given talents and abilities, may you do so with the words of Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths (ESV).”

In Jesus,

NewRozellesThank You, Holy Cross!

Dear HC,
As I reflect on our 10 years together, I can only repeat Paul’s word to the congregation in Philippi: “I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” (Phil 1:3-6)

Thank you for the wonderful celebration on the 31st. Our entire family was very moved. Thank you for providing for our family and for the extra gifts over the years, too. Thank you for your trust in our mission and vision and for your involvement in the ministries and leadership boards at Holy Cross. You were “my” (because you really belong to Christ) first parish after seminary, and for that you will always hold a dear place in my heart.

I cannot wait to see what God has in store for Holy Cross and the Clarence community with Pastor Nickel and his dear family. Moreover, I know that you will love them as you have loved us.

As you continue in mission with Jesus, remain steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of Lord because you know your kingdom labors are NOT in vain! In Christ, we win — both now and for eternity!!! To Him alone be all the glory!

All the love and peace of Christ,

Pastor Randy and Family
