We look forward to our new Pastor’s arrival!
We are so pleased and excited that Pastor Jeffrey Nickel has accepted a call to our congregation. Between finishing up his studies and other logistics, he expects his ordination and installation to happen in late summer. In the meantime, here is an abridged biography and a picture of Jeffrey & his wife, Rachel, along with Rev. Wicher (right). We welcome the Nickels to our Holy Cross family with love and friendship!

Return of the Swap & Shop Event
Ladies — fling open those closets and cupboard doors! Clean out the attic and cluttered drawers. Toss out the old and bring in the new. Find a new little treasure for you. Come and enjoy our second Swap and Shop event on Tuesday, May 19th from 7-9 in Krampitz Hall. Bring as many items as you wish to swap. All items should be new or gently used and in good condition. This is the perfect time to downsize, declutter, regift and recycle unwanted items. Everyone is asked to bring a dessert or snack to share. A signup sheet will be available so we can plan for drinks. We are also looking for extra tables and volunteers to set up and clean up. Bring a friend along. Any questions see Jill Carl or Nancy Cote. Hope to see you there for a fun night!
Heritage Home
On Sunday, May 24, we will visit our friends at the Heritage Home at 10 a.m. This is between the two worship services so anyone who would like to come along and meet good people, both the residents and the staff, let Alfrieda or Ron and Margaret know. Our Bible story will be “Dorcas Helps Others,” Acts 9:36-42. As always, we talk, sing, pray, and make a simple craft all around the story of the day. Join us!
Event planned for Sunday, May 31st:
We will celebrate the 10 years of service of Pastor Rozelle to Holy Cross at one outdoor service at 10am, followed by a pot luck lunch under the tent. Details will be forthcoming.
Visitation Care
If you are or will be hospitalized or homebound and desire Christian care from the Holy Cross staff please phone the church office at 634-2332 and/or email Pastor Randy at pastorrandy8900@gmail.com, or contact Pastor Belasic at 716-803-5710 or email dbelasiced@verizon.net to let us know. Please do not assume that we know your situation because for many reasons we often don’t. We will do our best to visit you, and if homebound, see that you receive communion. In Jesus, Pastor Randy and Barb Wachtel (Parish Nurse)

Our third annual Applebee’s Flapjack Fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, June 6 from 8-10 a.m. at the Applebee’s on Transit Road (Walmart Plaza). This has been a wonderful fundraiser for us in the past and brings together our Holy Cross community for good food and fellowship. Please help us by spreading the word beyond Holy Cross. Let’s fill the place and put our youth to work! Tickets will be available in May.
Dash’s Receipts
Please remember to save those Dash’s receipts and get them turned in! The money we receive goes to Habitat for Humanity. Thanks to Lorraine Woodman who continues to tabulate the receipts.
