Dear Sunday School parents,
I hope that you and your family had a wonderful summer. Holy Cross Sunday School staff would like to welcome you back to our 2022-2023 Sunday School Year.
As you probably already know, Sunday School begins with Rally Day, Sunday, September 18th at 9:30am for Pre-k through grade 3.
Pre-k through grade 3 will meet in the Holy Cross Christian Center music room. Students will be welcomed and have an informal meet and greet with their teachers. Please feel free to join us in the newly painted and decorated music room, meet the teachers and hear all about our Sunday School year.
Confirmation students will meet with Pastor Nickel Sunday, September 18th at 9:30am on the second floor of the Christian Center.
Our Sunday School theme this year comes from Hebrews 13:8.
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.” We want our children to know that they can always and forever count on Jesus.
In addition to learning God’s Word, we have some activities planned for this year:
• Before Sunday School class begins, the ch ildren will practice songs for the Christmas Program. We hope to have t he ch ildren sing at other services as well.
• The children will continue to learn to sign The Lord’s Prayer and will learn to sign an additional song for the Christmas Program.
• Trunk or Treat: Sunday, October 23rd after the late service.
• November-make greeting cards for shut-ins and continue practicing songs for the Christmas Program
• Christmas Program in December, date to be announced
• Palm Sunday Processional and children singing-April 2nd
• Sunday April 9th Easter Sunday Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt
• Sunday, May 14th children sing for Mother’s Day
