Sunday Services Cancellation – 14 January

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

The Erie County travel ban has been extended indefinitely, so we are now also cancelling Divine Service at 11:00 am (as well as 8:00 am and Sunday School, Confirmation Class and Adult Bible Study).  

Please worship our Lord Jesus Christ at home during this storm.  Below are links to Lutheran 3-O from 9:00-9:30 this morning, to the Holy Cross YouTube channel, today’s services bulletins and today’s Prayer of the Church.

Confirmation students are requested to read Joshua chapter 1 and review the Third Commandment and its meaning in the Small Catechism with parents.

“Lord God, heavenly Father, You control the wind and the snow.  We ask for your protection during this winter storm.  In Your wisdom You have seen fit to send it.  In Your mercy, grant safety to the emergency workers who must go out in this tempest to extend care to others.  Show them Your love, and extend Your kingdom through our witness in our community; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
