We will be holding the end of year Voters Meeting on Sunday December 12th after 2nd service. WE will be voting on budget items for 2022, voting in new Council members and discussing other important church business. WE would love to see everyone there!!!!!
Below are a few topics that we will discuss at the voter meeting following the late service on Sunday 12 DEC 2021.
K-Hall update. As has been previously discussed the cost to do the full renovation of K-Hall increased due to a number of factors. We were advised that the costs of K-Hall may be between $350,00 and $400,000. We decided to hold off until costs came down which has not been the case so far. The Council discussed the possibility of reducing the project scope to renovating K-Hall without the extension. We contacted the architect and he stated that it would cost $3,000 to render a drawing without the extensions. We believe that he would also be able to provide a cost estimate for the reduced project. We have approximately $5,000.00 remaining in the already approved budget to cover the architecture costs.
Audio Visual Assistant. For the past year we have been recording and posting one service per week to the internet for viewing. This has been very well received and is a valuable tool for our church members and for outreach as well. While this has been a volunteer position the council is considering making it a pay-per-event position in the new year.
DCE internship: The council has been considering the DCE position and we suggest that we hold off until next year and re-evaluate our need and ability to support an intern. Concerns about current and future covid variants and associated restrictions and potential increased costs are two if the main issues to be considered.
